Locher Hot Star Electric Hot Holding Cabinet – Precision Hot Holding for Optimal Quality

Expanding its portfolio of premium catering equipment, Valentine & CuisinEquip is proud to introduce the Locher Hot Star Electric Hot Holding Cabinet at HRC 2025. Designed for commercial kitchens that require precise temperature control to maintain food quality and reduce waste, the Locher Hot Star ensures that preprepared and cooked food remains at the perfect temperature while preserving its taste, colour, and texture.

Completely constructed from stainless steel and designed for portability and flexibility, the Hot Star is ideal for mobile catering environments. Available in three models—HotStar, HotStar Mega, and HotStar Heated Drawer—the unit offers a range of configurations, including countertop, under-counter, and built-in designs. The intuitive digital control panel allows operators to manage heat and moisture with precision, while optional features such as a temperature probe for slow overnight cooking further enhance versatility.

Philip Sanderson, Business Development Manager at Valentine & CuisinEquip, comments: “With challenges around staff training and retention, reliability, flexibility and ease of use are essential within busy commercial kitchens. As a supplier of high-quality catering equipment to the foodservice sector, our equipment is found in commercial kitchens across the country and we’re proud of our reputation for delivering robust, reliable and hardwearing equipment, backed by comprehensive aftersales service and support. We are therefore delighted to be introducing the Locher Hot Star Hot Holding Cabinet to our extensive range of quality equipment. Designed with the latest, innovative technology, the Locher Hot Star delivers ultimate precision, not only streamlining the cooking process and allowing chefs to work more efficiently but also maintaining food quality and minimising waste.”

Revolutionising Oil Management with the Vito T-Series

Ensuring safe and efficient oil handling, Valentine Equipment will also be showcasing the brand-new Vito T-Series, the world’s most innovative oil storage and transportation system. Following the recent acquisition of Vito UK, the trading arm of leading German oil filtration manufacturer Vito AG, Valentine Equipment is now the exclusive UK distributor of this groundbreaking solution.

Designed for large-scale kitchens and multi-site operations, the Vito T-Series allows operators to safely transport hot cooking oil, minimising risks and enhancing sustainability. Featuring a unique vacuum extraction system, the appliance removes oil directly from the fryer, filters out coarse debris, and stores it safely in a 40-litre tank. The oil can then be transported and reintroduced into a fryer after full cleaning or safely disposed of.

Philip Sanderson adds: “Valentine has proudly supported Vito in distributing a range of unique, portable filtration systems to help operators substantially reduce their oil costs and improve the quality of frying oil by prolonging its life. We are delighted to be expanding the Vito range by distributing the new T-Series. Disposing of used fats, oils and grease can be a huge problem for caterers across the industry and, if disposed of incorrectly, operators can be left with significant drainage problems, leading to costly downtime and repair bills. But, by using oil transportation such as the new Vito T-Series, operators can save costs, reduce waste and ensure their business is as sustainable as possible.”

Valentine & CuisinEquip Acquires Vito UK

In a significant move for the industry, Valentine & CuisinEquip has now fully acquired Vito UK following years of successful partnership. This transition ensures continued excellence in oil filtration technology and reinforces Valentine’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in commercial kitchens.

Iain Addison, Former Director of Vito UK, comments: “Following a blossoming partnership with Valentine Fryers and with the continued success of the business, we are delighted to have offered our company to Valentine and CuisinEquip, with the sale going through in March 2024. Kim and I, along with our fantastic team, partners and customers have built the business up from being just a sole trader importing products in 2006. Officially forming Vito UK in 2008, we’re incredibly proud of the way the company grew and Vito filtration technology has helped thousands of operators to save money, reduce waste and drive efficiency in the process. In Valentine & CuisinEquip, we’re confident the business will continue to thrive – the future looks promising.”

Philip Sanderson adds: “As proud distributors of Vito in the UK for several years, acquiring such a distinguished brand is a real privilege. We are incredibly pleased with what we have accomplished in partnership with Vito UK and look forward to continuing its success in the years to come.”
