The Hoxton heads home with fourth hotel in London
Seeing out 2022 with a bang, the brand is putting down roots in culturally-rich and eclectic neighbourhood, Shepherd’s Bush.
The new hotel will be the brand’s fourth in its hometown (and twelfth in The Hoxton series), bring it to all corners of the capital, with its design-driven, community-focused hotels now in east, south, central and west London.
A series of open house hotels, rooted in culture and community, each Hoxton is a reflection and extension of its neighbourhood, inspired by the diversity and originality of the streets that surround them, and The Hoxton Shepherd’s Bush is no different. Located on the north end on Shepherd’s Bush Green, this Hox’s new neighbourhood is melting pot of cultures, cuisines, and communities, and steeped in music and entertainment history, all of which will heavily influence the hotel’s partnerships and programming.
The new hotel is also well located for exploring west London, with iconic destinations like Shepherd’s Bush Market, Bush Hall and Shepherd’s Bush Empire on its doorstep, and much-loved hotspots like Portobello Market and Notting Hill within easy walking distance. Designed by Ennismore Design Studio, the hotel’s interiors draw references to the local area throughout, with the public spaces paying tribute to retro transport design, with symmetry and colour palettes inspired by the TFL archives in the nearby London Transport Museum Depot.
237 bedrooms at the hotel come in six categories, including Cosy, Roomy, Snug Bunk and an all-new Hideout category: think basement crash pads with all the Hoxton touches, perfect for late nights and quick sleepovers. Rooms feel warm and welcoming, with peachy toned walls, dark timbers and copper finishes. Details such as the green metal dado rail that wraps around the curves of the full height mirror, are drawn from shapes in local architecture, giving subtle nods to the surrounding neighbourhood with a contemporary twist.
On the ground floor, Chet’s, the Thai-Americana restaurant with a menu from Kris Yenbamroong of LA hotspot NIGHT + MARKET will plate up fiery flavours for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. A central wraparound bar invites guests to pull up a stool for a drink or two. Also on the ground floor in Shepherd’s Bush – The Hoxton’s signature meeting and events concept, The Apartment, which lends itself perfectly to parties and private dining.
Vibrant, welcoming public spaces and exciting dining concepts mean every Hoxton is as much a destination for the local community as it is for guests. At The Hoxton Shepherd’s Bush, the lobby will welcome guests from morning ‘til night, with its vintage furniture, cosy corners, and art on the walls from local artist.
