As International Salon Culinaire prepares to return to ExCeL London on 20-22 March 2023, alongside Hotel, Restaurant & Catering, chefs competing in the Lumina Lamb Challenge will have an unmissable opportunity to secure an amazing top prize, awarded to the chef who wins 'Best in Class' in the live competition.

On 1st December, entries opened for the Lumina Challenge 2023 – Lumina are looking for world class chefs and the world’s best lamb recipe! The winner will win a once in a lifetime trip to New Zealand, as well as being inducted into the Lumina Ambassador programme. 

To enter, you will need to submit a lamb recipe on the Lumina website, and post a photo of your recipe on social media with the hashtags #LuminaChallenge2023, #LuminaLamb and #PinnacleofTaste. From there, Lumina's panel of esteemed judges will whittle them down to 20 semi finalists, who will be invited to submit a short video of them talking through their recipe and why they have chosen it. From there, the final eight will be selected, and the finalists will battle it out live on the Salon Culinaire stage at HRC 2023. Competitors will need to cook four plates of their dish, using at least one cut of Lumina lamb, for our judging panel.

The winner will then be announced at a champagne and canapes reception at Chef HQ (part of HRC) that afternoon on Monday 20 March.
