Case study: NCE and Sakku Samba

Commercial catering equipment supplier NCE, a member of ceda, on the refurbishment of Sakku Samba in Manchester.  

NCE were approached with the brief of refurbishing an existing restaurant space that would combine Sakku Samba’s two concepts of Brazilian and Japanese cuisine.

After meetings with their Ops Manager and Head Sushi Chef the design and specification were agreed and NCE were awarded the contract to supply and install the kitchen equipment. Despite a tight timescale and the challenge of supply chain availability issues, NCE managed to deliver the project on time and successfully.

Since opening, the restaurant has been a massive hit not only with their clientele but also on social media. They have attracted various local celebrities to enjoy the quality food offering. The profile and reputation of the restaurant has succeeded in filling the restaurant to capacity, catering for over 600 diners a day through the week and weekends.

NCE continues to work with the client to provide planned preventative and reactive maintenance at their 15 sites, sourcing and supplying replacement equipment when required as well as helping with the design for upcoming projects.
