IFSE, restaurant design, cafe design and commercial kitchen design experts and members of ceda, on the transformation of CAMPUS kitchen in Reading.
‘CAMPUS Kitchen’ is a £1.5m, 280-seater restaurant, café and kitchen space for one of the largest business hubs in the region.
Described as 'unlike any other building outside London', the CAMPUS Reading development boasts over 375,000 sq. ft of modern, efficient, and wellbeing-focused office space.
With aspirations to achieve the prestigious 'BREEAM Excellent' and 'WELL Platinum' rating, IFSE's modern, open and bold design for on-site caterer, BaxterStorey, was selected for the space by client team Alchemy Asset Management, and project management team, Quartz.
Fast-forward to now and the result is a diverse and inclusive café, restaurant and workspace fuelled by a cutting-edge, low-emission commercial kitchen, complete with state-of-the-art commercial catering technology.
With a focus on versatility, sustainability and natural elements that complement the existing building fabric, including a vibrant curved living wall and an abundance of green foliage, IFSE delivered a 'breath-taking' project that their partners, clients and end-users admire.
