In our 87th year, The Institute of Hospitality (IoH) is the world’s largest professional hospitality body, committed to promoting professionalism through lifelong learning.
Evolving from our distinguished heritage to a more invigorated, innovative membership body, we operate a full annual calendar of activities, with world-class mentoring, live networking events, online CPD webinars, over 250 online courses through our IoH Academy, an extensive library, a topical, monthly podcast listened to in our 70 countries, a membership newsletter, our Institute of Hospitality Magazine and a hub of other essential online professional resources.
Plus, we continue to engage our members and wider hospitality family around the world on social media.
Today the Institute represents over 16,000 global members at individual, student/apprenticeship, academic and corporate levels and grants professional recognition to more than 1,200 hospitality programmes and qualifications, in 24 countries.
Through our worldwide regional network, we provide local IoH activities, to help ensure our members are part of an inspirational community and feel part of the IoH’s global family.
Engaging with hospitality professionals at all stages of their careers is key to our mission, and we consistently help develop existing talent and help inspire young talent to build professional careers in the industry, supported by our dedicated Youth Council.
To elevate hospitality professionals further, we launched our Professional Recognition Awards (PRA) this year. Awarded by the Institute and accessible globally to members and non-members, achieving a PRA demonstrates that an individual meets the highest professional standards at their level and powerfully endorses their skills, impact, and commitment to professional excellence.
