WELBILT CONTINUES CULINARY EXPANSION
GUILDFORD, December 2023: Following a raft of appointments across the Welbilt team in 2023, Development Chef Greg Crump has joined the culinary division effective immediately. Greg’s position is the fifth addition to the team in the last six months for the Guildford based leader in the manufacture and supply of professional catering equipment as it plans to accelerate its business in 2024.
Jonathan Butler, Sales Director UK&I at Welbilt Inc., is delighted to welcome Greg to the team,
“We have big, big plans for Welbilt’s culinary expansion in 2024, and with Greg joining us, we’ve bolstered the team, ready to start next year with a whole new culinary strategy. Exciting times for our team as we have really strengthened our numbers and set out our plans for the future. Greg will be the culinary face of Welbilt at all of our exhibitions going forwards as we focus on building our presence in every sector of the industry. With our comprehensive range of market leading commercial kitchen equipment, we are excited to showcase the full Welbilit portfolio to our valued existing clients and potential customers.”
With a strong background in catering including time spent in the kitchens of Warwick University and more recently many years spent as a development chef for Hobart, Greg is no stranger to the variety and creativity that comes with the role.
“Pretty much my first day with Welbilt I attended an industry event where we were sponsors of an awards evening, and being part of a team that is so integrated into the industry is fantastic. It was great to see so many familiar faces and make some new acquaintances and I’m genuinely looking forward to being part of the culinary team and wider Welbilt business in the future. Obviously, my first task is to get fully up to speed on all the equipment and that is no mean feat! It’s been amazing getting to know the team, everyone has been incredibly welcoming and the plans we are making for culinary in 2024 are going to be impressive. First up, my sights are set on HRC, one of the biggest exhibitions for the industry and how we can make it even better than last year. All I can say is a very cliched, ‘watch this space’!”
